BUILT IN-HOUSE: our 3.0X / Berd spoke wheels can look pretty strange before the @BERDSPOKES are tensioned, but when it comes to riding them, we’ve not experienced a wheel build that feels more perfectly supple, and that’s facts, not hype. at1275G, they’re both very light and very strong. Are there a hundred other great bike wheels on the market? Yeah, there are, but we chose to do our own, from scratch, because we’re interested in going out and defining the ideal wheels for ourselves.

We’ve restocked our ultra comfortable Explorts bibshorts. We are focusing our offerings around two versions of the shorts from here on out, and here are the differences:
Explorts Expedition: Formerly out 1.2 shorts, we were considering phasing these out in favor of the new 2.0 version, but they’ve developed a loyal following from riders who prefer the quick release buckle system, lighter weight fabrics, and lower belt line. With that in mind we decided to listen to that feedback and we’ve renamed them from 1.2 to Expedition, following their successful use in Tour Divide by Cade and Edyn, among other notable ultra distance events from Atlas Mountain Race, to Traka, Unbound XL, Veneto Trail, North South Colorado, Arkansas High Country, and more non racing adventures than we can count. We’ve resupplied these on the website in both Women’s sizing and Men’s sizing.
Explorts 2.0 are distinct from the Expedition version through the use of a more compressive Italian main short fabric, seamless cuff / gripper construction, a higher belt line and rear bib, a central rear pocket for more storage on those days that you wear a loose fitting tee, thinner bib straps, and other small tweaks. We’ve also restocked across all sizes.
Both versions of our shorts use the top line EIT endurance chamois to keep your derrière as happy as possible on rides measured in hours or days.
Explorts, like the rest of our RDO LAB cycling clothing, and designed and constructed around our own ideas and goals for great fitting and functioning cycling apparel. We’ve been hard at work on all items in our collection since 2018, and will never stop evolving and iterating to make it them better all the time. If you own our clothing and have feedback, we’re listening, so don’t be shy if you have requests or would like to see a detail improved. We rely on our community for inspiration as well!

One by one the last of the limited edition Pistachio TD4s are disappearing. In most sizes only one remains, in others, they’re all gone. This 61cm made for a beautiful build, and today it went home with Jamie. The build kit is a sweet mix of out 3.0X wheels, Rival Xplor AXS, ENVE bars, Ritchey seatpost, Vision stem, the new Repente Quasar 2.0 saddle, and 44mm Vittoria Mezcal tires. Around here we prioritize durability and function in every decision we wake, and this bike is built for the long haul and years of adventure.
