Thanks for the response Steve.I missed this point and now reading the Flanimal tech paper again, I see it. Looking at the image in the link you posted, that looks to be a flat mount brake, so with the adaptor I would assume a post mount brake would be rotated even further around (clockwise) the center of the wheel? I am understanding the mounting set-up correctly. Any chance there is an image of a Flanimal with a post mount brake available to view?
Flat mount to post mount adaptor
You will need our off the back slider + your adapter in order to properly run post mount brakes on Flaanimal:
crown race on spork 3
The White Industries split is perfectly fine to use.
How naked is naked?what
Naked Flaanimal have a black ED (anti rust coating) and a single layer of satin clear coat.
Naked Traildonkey have visible carbon weave with some sections smoked opaque black, and all covered with gloss clear coat.
Spork compression plug and topcap
Yes this is the correct compression plug / topcap that is optionally available as a bundle with our forks.
Chris King T47 and Easton Cinch
Matt,
The T47 30i is the correct bottom bracket for the crankset, and the Fit Kit #5 also looks correct.
Unfortunately we no longer have a direct account with King, so we can’t give you installation advice based on using their products.
Easton EA90 cranks definitely work with our frame.
Generally speaking spacers are there to take up any excess spindle between the bearing and the crank arm so it should be easy to determine how many spacers that you need with some trial and error. Too few spacers will have play and too many will cause the bearings to bind because of excess copression.
If there is a wave washer supplied with the crank or fit kit that will help take up any micro excess of extra space and should be included in the install.
Hopefully this helps a bit.
Soma Champs Elysees question
When we purchased and tested that rack there was only one version. We had to bend the struts out slightly wider but there were no issues. The fork is actually 127mm wide down at the dropout area and tapers upwards so the 130 should work without issues, but you may end up adding some spacers between the rack and the fork to adjust to correct width. Be sure to use 25mm M5 bolts to mount the rack struts to the mid leg eyelets so that the weight of the fork’s cargo is distributed across double the eyelet area (inner and outer eyelets).
Is it safe to use a 180mm rotor with a Spork 3.0?
We can’t claim that the fork works and is safe with 180mm because we haven’t tested it with 180mm.
