Hi Chris,
We haven’t test mounted that rack on a Spork, but based on the adjustable struts we would wager that there is a way to properly mount it.

Martin. Please email greg@rodeo-labs.com and he can help you out
There isn’t a specific Nm torque spec. It simply needs to be tight enough to stay in place when the topcap bolt is torqued and used to compress the overall assembly.
5-6 Nm would be a good starting point.
Matt,
Because of the double steel / carbon material at the clamp of FL5 it can sometimes take more torque to clamp a post securely, especially when clamping softer carbon posts. So you could increase up to 7nm with no concerns of frame damage. Carbon posts are often a more variable spec than aluminum so check your actual post size with a caliper to confirm it isn’t undersized. For some people aluminum posts are a better option because they are stiffer to clamp against.
We haven’t used Engin clamps but they do look lovely!
Flaanimal is not suspension corrected. It uses a 396mm axle to crown fork.
Kevin,
We’ve moved to a satin black anodized hub for our 3.0 hubs. There are no other anodized color options presently. We could cerakote the hubs in a broad range of colors, and that would add $150 to a wheelset cost.
That depends quite a lot on frame choice and component selection. For most bikes we are probably looking at early to mid July currently. If in doubt please email about specific bike and build options you would like and we can give you a more precise timeline.
Thanks!
The Flaanimal frame is extremely strong. You can safely use up to 6nm with no issues if your clamp supports it.
Ted,
It may not be entirely possible to removed chain grease stains from Cerakote. Cerakote is ceramic particles suspended in a polymer and may have more poreosity than other coatings – meaning that if you get chain grease in it and it soaks into the pores it may embed beyond a detergent’s ability to penetrate and remove it.
Areas such as chainstays that are subject to grease would be better to protect with a 3M clear vinyl such as ClearBra, or any mainstream chainstay protector.
It is also a useful idea to wipe down the bike when cleaning with Bike Lust or even a spray on car wax as a protective layer. That will help seal pores in the coating and provide a sacrificial layer for dirt and contamination to stick to and then wash off.
The Duo will only fit if you buy or manufacture small offset mounting hardware for it. There isn’t enough clearance for everything at the lower eyelets as-is.
