They aren’t included with every frame because modern Shimano derailleurs have the stop built in, and so many builds are 1x. They look like this:

Protection from rock strikes
Thanks for the TD4 pre-order!
We use machine cut 3M vinyl for some custom shaped protection that we put on some frames by request. There are also some basic frame protection kits that are on the market that can be found via google. TD4 is so new that custom kits from 3rd parties aren’t available yet but they probably will be later in the year. If you’d like us to add protection to some key areas of your frame, just email greg@rodeo-labs.com and he can help you out.
Rear rack specs for TD3.1
Max 3kg per eyelet.

On the metal frames, 3.5kg per eyelet is a good rule for maximum weight at the eyelet.
SRAM UDH Compatibility
It is on the horizon. No date set but seems possible. A simple slider revision would do it.
Flannimal Steel vs. Ti
Functionally speaking the steel and Ti Flaanimals are essentially identical. You’ll have a very similar riding experience on either, even with frame weight factored in. Ti factors in for people who do care about that one less pound, but to us the bigger reason for Ti is that it is more or less considered “forever bike” material. Steel is very durable and our frames are dipped to resist corrosion, but Titanium is utterly impervious to corrosion or elemental factors, and in that sense can take more abuse, neglect, or even just fend off the effects of salty or wet climates in a way that steel can’t quite match. Titanium may have just a bit springier ride quality than steel as well, but both metals are known for their compliance and forgiving ride qualities.
Reason for asymmetric slider design.
Over time we’ve revised both drive and non-driveside sliders on different intervals, and for a period of time the parts were as you described. Once we use(d) up those parts that we had in inventory the next batch were made symmetrical, but even after that revision the usable slider range remains the same between all versions. The frame hits all stated fore-aft slider ranges and accommodates all tire sizes no matter which slider version was used.
How much clearance is remaining with 2.4″ tires
We haven’t run a 2.35″ Ikon, but we have run the 2.35 Mezcal extensively, all across the world, including by Daniel Connel in Tour Divide. Clearance has been excellent for those events. We don’t have a set mounted to measure here, but an estimate would be 6-8mm of clearance per side of the tire with the sliders all the way back. This is on our Rodeo 2.0 rim. Clearance varies per rim brand / width. Not all tires of a given measurement actually measure what the label says, and tread pattern will also affect actual real world measured size.
