I am trying to figure out which WI crankset is required for a 1x build on a Flaanimal 5.0.  The G30 has the wider Q-factor arms but still designed for a 68mm BB.  The R30 has the narrow Q-factor, but not sure if there is enough frame/tire clearance?  Which ones have been used for the builds?

The G30 is definitely the crankset that we’ve been using. With the Flaanimal 5.0 you would probably want to use the matching White Industries T47 BB with internal bearings, not external cups.

Thanks Steve! So aesthetics aside, would the Praxis Zayante Carbon crankset be a better choice due to the lower Q-Factor and marginally lighter weight? Thoughts?

We’ve never heard of complaints about the Q factor of the White Industries. Everyone seems to love that crank. But if you would like a lower Q factor then the Zayante is a great crank.

Hey! Rodeo is moving!

We're taking the month of September to move into a sparkling new facility not far from where we currently operate here in Denver, Colorado. Orders and builds will continue to ship, but we may move a little slower as we work to refresh the new space and move everything over. If you have any urgent deadlines for your order, just let us know at bikes@rodeo-labs.com and we will work hard to make sure your riding isn't interrupted.

Thank you!
