Tyler’s TD4.2R Road Bike

When Tyler told us that he wanted to create a pure road bike out of a TD4.2, we were instantly interested, but also paused. Could a Donkey really run with the race horses? Tyler’s vision for the project was unmatched, and the results amazed us.

Now that the bike is complete and has seen hundreds of miles of riding, we’ve had the opportunity to sit down and talk about the project, and gravel / road / all-road bikes in general via the Rodeo Labs Podcast. You can listen to that eposide here:

The completed bike displaced Tyler’s Canyon Aeroad, and even came in lighter on the scale. We look forward to seeing it taken out for a full season of road racing in 2026!
